i guess it all comes down to how much something means to you; whether or not it is worth fighting for. it is not about wanting to be right, i assure you. it is about not giving up so easily when it becomes difficult for you to achieve. yes, some might call it stupidity. why would anyone insist on working for what may seem like a lost cause? why waste so much time to go through with something so hard?
my answer is plain and simple. because it is worth it. when you start working on something, it is a work in progress. things will become difficult along the way. life is not a breeze. if it is, it would not be satisfying at all. you cant have a simple before first going through complicated. there will be not be happiness without sadness. one will never know how happiness feels if she was never sad. what is life if you have nothing to fight for? what is life if the only person you think is worth fighting for is you or things which only involves you? how is it fair that only you matter?
but then again, these are just my thoughts. things that are important to me might not be as important to somebody else. our priorities differ and that is natural. i have not found a lot of people who would fight for what they want, come what may. sometimes i don't even mind getting hurt (physically) or going through a lot of trouble just to get something done because i feel that the outcome/end product will be worth it.
"dia buat kerja tak guna otak"
"it's good that you fight for what you want, but you never think of the consequences of your actions"
these are some of the things i've been told rather frequently these days.
what they fail to understand is the harder it is for me to gain something, the more satisfaction i'll feel once i get it done. i like the adrenaline rush. does that make me reckless?
